Find the area of this triangle. Remember the formula is 1/2 b*h, or b*h/2.

Make sure you write a quick explanation that includes the usual requirements.

Hint for finding the equation: Set up a t-chart on a sheet of paper and find the rule.

Bonus: Explain how to write an equation by looking at the ordered pairs.

Solving One - Step Equations

Problem 1: Explain how you would solve the following problems. You must use the following words in your explanation: inverse operation, balance, simplify.

(a) 36.7 - y = 18.20 (b) 5x = 45 (c) b/5 = 5

An excellent answer will contain the following qualities:

• Sequence Words - first, next, last, etc.
• Steps in correct order.
• A correct solution.
